LITTLE-KNOWN BAT FACTS: Bats are a critical part of our eco-system: they eat close to their weight in mosquitos and other disease-bearing insects every night. They are the best and most natural mosquito repellent available, preventing diseases, e.g., the zika virus. They drastically reduce, and sometimes eliminate, the need for insect repellents. Bats also play a major role in pollinating our food crops in the fields.
Our houses are constructed to be easily integrated into nature: they are rustic, sturdy, and natural. We fire harden our houses (instead of using varnish or paint). Our houses last approximately 10-15 years, depending on climate.
Each bat house has a "landing pad" at the opening, a predator guard on the inside, one chamber on the inside of the single chamber house, plus an additional space that is a birthing chamber close to the top of the house inside..a safe place for the bat "babies."
Our single chamber bat house is very effective for smaller sized properties.
Each bat house is customized for your area. Every bat house is sprayed with our Bat Attract before shipping in order to help the bats find your house a little faster. There is always a naturalist ready to answer your questions regarding size of bat house you need for your property and the best placement of the bat house for your property.. We appreciate you, the customer, for your help in caring for our environment through the use of bat house habitat. Bats work in our behalf to control disease ridden insects, e.g.,mosquitos, eating three quarters to one pound of bugs every night. They also help pollinate our growing food.
